I wanted something more comfortable than a basic carrier and this has been worth it. The build quality is excellent and my cat actually stays inside after we get home for a few minutes.
The padded shoulder straps are very comfortable. Even after carrying my cat for a while, the backpack feels well balanced and doesn't put too much pressure on my shoulders.
The side opening makes getting my cat into the backpack much easier than our old carrier. I spend a lot less time convincing her to go inside now.
We originally bought this for weekend road trips, but now we use it for vet visits too. It's sturdy, comfortable to carry, and my cat seems much more relaxed inside.
My cat weighs about 15 pounds and still has enough room to sit comfortably and turn around. The extra space makes a noticeable difference on longer trips.
The roll-up privacy cover has been one of my favorite features. When my cat gets nervous in busy places, I can lower it a little until she settles down. It has made outings much less stressful for both of us.
